Ticket Institute

ENs need a comprehensive education program to help SSA meet its goals for the Ticket Program. "Ticket Institute" will help more ENs become financially viable providers of quality services, and that in turn will help more Ticket-users succeed.

Other Ticket stakeholders are also encouraged to attend selected modules, as they need. Without a startup resource like Ticket Institute, some organizations will not become ENs at all, so this education program will contribute to EN recruiting as well as EN performance.

NENA is developing Ticket Institute based on key principles:

  1. Before committing to the Ticket Program, service providers want reliable proof that they can develop a financially viable EN organization. ENs trust other experienced ENs who are "in the trenches" with them to answer this and other questions. ENs will do the bulk of presenting at Ticket Institute.
  2. Program developers need one set of information to design and fund an EN organization, while operations people need a different set of information. Ticket Institute will include sessions to serve both needs.
  3. To minimize cost and scheduling demands, Ticket Institute will provide a combination of regional seminars and distance learning events.
  4. ENs need to network locally and build a professional community. Ticket Institute will help them do that.
